Parent Council
Our role
The role of the Parent Council is to help create an environment where all parents and carers (the Parent Forum) know that their views matter and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward. We work on behalf of all parents to discuss educational matters that are of importance to all.
How do we do this?
It is important that each year the whole Parent Forum has the opportunity to help shape the Parent Council’s priorities via surveys and the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Sept. We also get feedback from the pupils by collaborating with the Pupil Council.
What do we aim to do?
The objectives of St Francis Xavier’s Primary School Parent Council are:

To promote partnership between the school, its pupils, all parents and carers to create a welcoming school which is inclusive.

To promote partnership between the school and the Catholic Church to ensure that all pupils develop their full potential leading to lifelong activities being guided by the Holy Spirit and the presence of Christ in the service of God and others.

To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils.

To identify and represent the views of the Parent Forum on the education provided by the school and nursery and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils.

To raise funds for the school for the benefit of the pupils.

We are an enthusiastic team, actively involved in supporting the entire school community by promoting partnership between all parties, representing the views of the Parent Forum and raising funds for the school to benefit the pupils and their education.
